SHIGA KOGEN Ski Slope Guide


Shiga Kogen Ski Resort is one of the biggest ski resorts in Japan, consisting of, surprisingly, 21 interlinked ski fields and about 70 lifts including gondolas. This various ski courses are very wide, unique, sometime romantic, so that all skiers can enjoy their family-trip, and couple-trip. The ski fields are loved by many of Snow borders as well as 80 percent of its courses are opened for snow borders.
Shiga Kogen is located in the heart of the Joshinetsu National Park in Nagano prefecture, and is famous as it was a host of Nagano Winter Olympic Giant Slalom and Paralympics events in 1998!
This ski resort is also very popular as it is highly accessible and convenient ski destination. It is only 60km from Nagano City, and 240km from Tokyo. You can travel by train, bus, and Taxi!
